Wood Depot is Calgary’s choice for premium firewood at a great price. All of our firewood comes tightly hand stacked on pallets wrapped in netting, or in eco-friendly totes to ensure a clean and dry product with minimal packaging. All of our wood products are properly seasoned and stacked to ensure a clean and efficient burn with every fire. If that’s too much wood, check out our mini totes in recyclable boxes.

Beware of sellers offering truckloads, face cords, short cords, etc as their measurements for selling wood. Industry Canada has strict guidelines for the sale of wood and the basis for all sales is the cord. A cord is a legal unit of measurement defined by the Weights and Measures Act and Regulations as “128 cubic feet of stacked round wood (whole or split, with or without bark) containing wood and airspace with all bolts of similar length piled in a regular manner with their longitudinal axes approximately parallel”. We ensure that all of our wood products are stacked and packaged in this manner so that you get what you paid for. KILN DRIED VS SEASONED BIRCH
In order to ensure a healthy supply of Premium Birch Firewood, Wood Depot has decided to focus only on Birch firewood. We dont keep our wood stored in a pile on the ground. Our seasining program ensures that your wood is always 20% or under in humitity. We achieve this by storing our birch firewood dry stacked or in totes, with each load being stored in LOTS. Since birch is our only focus we have the room to store many LOTS of Birch Firewood, so we always have at least 1 LOT that is at 20% or better.
Kiln Dried Birch Firewood comes out of the kiln at 20% or under. The advantage of a kiln is that you can dry a load of Birch Firewood within 10 days, but in the end well seasoned birch has equivent humidity and therefor will burn just as nice for less cost.
